DENVER FIRED THEIR NFL COACH

BREAKING NEWS:

Mike Shanahan, who led the Denver Broncos to back-to-back Super Bowl victories in the late 90s, has been fired as football coach.

The Broncos held a three-game lead in the AFC West Division with three games remaining this season, but lost the advantage by dropping their final three contests.

Shanahan, 56, has coached the Broncos since 1995 and was the second longest tenured coach in the NFL behind the Tennessee Titans Jeff Fisher.

He was also relieved of his duties as director of football operations for the club.
