BRETT FARVE BACK IN THE NFL

BREAKING NEWS:

Brett Favre is expected to unretire again and sign with the Minnesota Vikings today.

The 39-year-old quarterback arrived at Vikings training camp to meet with coach Brad Childress and others amid speculation that he will return to the NFL.

The Associated Press is reporting that Favre arrived at a St. Paul airport and departed in an SUV for a meeting with Vikings officials.

Favre was greeted at the airport by Vikings coach Brad Childress, who told the AP it is the Vikings' plan to sign the former quarterback of the rival Green Bay Packers "in a perfect world."

ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Favre will sign a one-year deal worth $10-12 million dollars.

Favre, who played for the New York Jets last season, told the Vikings on July 28 that he would remain retired.

Favre, who will turn 40 on Oct. 10, played 16 seasons for the Packers. The teams meet Oct. 5 in Minnesota and Nov. 1 in Green Bay.

Favre, in 17 NFL seasons, owns all-time league records for pass attempts (9,280), completions (5,720), passing yards (65,127), touchdowns (464) and interceptions (310).
