PHILADELPHIA EAGLES DRAFT 10

Philadelphia
A flurry of activity in the NFL Draft today has landed the Eagles cornerback Trevard Lindley, linebacker Keenan Clayton, quarterback Mike Kafka, tight end Clay Harbor, defensive end Ricky Sapp, wide receiver Riley Cooper, running back Charles Scott, linebacker Jamar Chaney, defensive tackle Jeff Owens and safety Kurt Coleman.

Lindley, chosen with the 105th pick, was a four-year starter at Kentucky, where he compiled 158 tackles, nine interceptions and set the program record with 34 career pass breakups.

When Lindley (5-11, 183) met with the Eagles at the Scouting Combine, he said they were primarily interested in one thing.

"We were talking about cover and blitz and they said they play a lot of man, really," Lindley said. "They asked when they blitz, can I guard my receivers."

The Eagles must have liked what they heard as much as what they saw on tape and at the Combine.

Clayton (6-1, 229), from the University of Oklahoma, finished fourth on the team with 75 tackles, including 1.5 sacks. He was taken 121st overall.

Kafka was taken with the very next pick out of Northwestern, where was co-captain as a senior and was named the team's most valuable offensive player.

He helped himself a lot after the season by showing excellent skills at the Scouting Combine and again at Northwestern's pro day.

Harbor, picked at No. 125 out of Missouri State, is considered a hybrid who can play H-back or fullback in addition to tight end. At 6-3, 243 pounds, he was a dominant peformer at the Football Championship Subdivision level, setting a program record with 150 career receptions.

At 159, a pick they acquired along with a fifth-rounder in 2011 from San Diego for the 146th pick this year, they nabbed Cooper, a University of Florida standout.

Sapp, the third defensive end taken by the Eagles so far in this draft, played at Clemson. He's goes just 6-4, 252, which is small even for an end in a 4-3 alignment.

Here's the complete list of the 10 players drafted today, for a total of 13 in the three-day event:

Trevard Lindley, CB, Kentucky, 5-11, 183 (Round 4, 105 overall).
