IRONPIGS DROP IN EXTRA INNINGS

Columbus outfielder Nick Weglarz had struck out three times and walked in four at-bats when he stepped in to the batters box in the bottom of the 11th inning.

Hitting just a hair over .100, Weglarz delivered a two-out single to score Brian Bixler with the game-winner off of Brian Gordon to push the Clippers past Lehigh Valley 3-2.

The IronPigs had taken a 2-0 lead when shortstop Brian Bocock hit his first home run of the season in the top of the fifth inning. Columbus rallied to tie in the bottom half of the inning keyed by their only extra base hit of the game -- a Josh Rodriguez' double.

The loss ends a two game win streak for Lehigh Valley. Brandon Duckworth (1-0, 1.80 ERA) will try to get the IronPigs back on track when he squares off against for Phillies minor league prospect Carlos Carrasco (2-2, 3.86).
