Lehigh's Rackley considered one of the top FCS offensive linemen in country

Lehigh senior captain Will Rackley has been named one of the top ten FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) offensive linemen for

the upcoming season, it was recently announced by the Sports Network.

A two time All-League selection Rackley is widely considered to be the top tackle in the entire Patriot League as well as one of the best in the nation. A starter since his freshman season Rackley is the lone Patriot League student-athlete on the list.

A native of Georgia, Rackley earned First-Team All-Patriot League accolades in each of the last two seasons, and he added All-America honors to his resume following the 2009 campaign after the Associated Press named him to its Third-Team. The Sports Network had this to say about the Mountain Hawks left tackle:

Standing 6-4, 310 pounds, Rackley is the strongest player on the Mountain Hawks roster. He can bench press 440 pounds nd he uses the strength wisely on the field. He's active on the line and understands how to play the left tackle position. He has made the All-Patriot League First Team in each of the past two seasons.

The Sports Network also listed several games pitting top-ten offensive linemen against one another during the upcoming season and the first contest will be Lehigh's clash with defending national champion Villanova on September 11 at Goodman Stadium. Villanova left tackle Ben Ijalana is listed as the top offensive lineman in the country by the Sports Network.

Rackley and his Mountain Hawk teammates will open preseason camp in early August with the 2010 season opener slated for Saturday, September 4 as Lehigh travels to Des Moines, Iowa to take on the Drake Bulldogs.
