Burian, Pressmann on "Calling All Sports" TV show

FROM KEITH GROLLER

Lehigh Valley sports historian and author Evan Burian makes his annual Thanksgiving Week appearance on The Morning Call's "Calling All Sports" TV show, seen at 8 Monday night on Service Electric and at 6 Tuesday night on RCN4.

Burian takes a trip down memory lane with hosts Keith Groller and Bill Kline, reliving the 1960 Thanksgiving Day games.

There's plenty of talk about the current high school playoffs as well.

Former Central Catholic football player and coach Sean Pressmann (below left) is also a guest, and he talks a little bit about the Vikings. However, his primary purpose to talk about Saturday's second annual "I Run For Jack" Memorial 5K walk/run at Lehigh Parkway.

It's in honor of John "Jack" Pressmann, Sean's father, who had such a major impact on the local cross-country community and was beloved at Central Catholic as a coach and teacher.

Pressmann died in July of 2009 while on a charity hike in the Sierra Mountains.

Proceeds from Saturday's event benefit the John "Jack" Pressmann Memorial Scholarship Fund.
