VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

CAMELOT FOR CHILDREN, Allentown, is looking for volunteers to staff its Holiday Gift Wrap Booth at the Lehigh Valley Mall. Shifts are three hours through Dec. 24. Individuals or groups of three to four may sign up. To sign up, you must call or email to check availability for date and time. Minimum age 17 and everyone must be able to do a nice job of gift wrapping. To schedule a time, call Cassie Kemmerer at 610-791-5683.

PHOEBE HOME NURSING AND REHABILITATION CENTER, Allentown, is looking for volunteers to transport residents and to serve refreshments at its Christmas parties and programs in December. SPIRIT OF LEHIGH VALLEY, Fogelsville needs volunteers to serve meals at its free dinner/dessert buffet to be held Dec. 24 at the Holiday Inn, Fogelsville. Volunteers are needed to wrap toys a week before the event. Spread the holiday spirit by donating unwrapped toys, dinner rolls/desserts, and toiletries, hats, gloves and scarves. THE SALVATION ARMY needs bell ringers for its Red Kettle campaign until Dec. 24. Volunteers are especially needed for Pen Argyl. WARM HEARTS 4 COLD NOSES, Allentown needs volunteers to walk dogs Sundays from 1 to 3 pm. Dog walkers must be 18 or older, or accompanied by an adult and must learn safety rules and shelter rules. Prior to walking dogs, please schedule an orientation by contacting Laura Vito at lauravito@rcn.com. After that, dogs can be walked anytime the shelter is open. THE SALVATION ARMY, Bethlehem is looking for volunteers to prepare, cook, and serve a meal for approximately 50 people every Sunday during the year from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Volunteer as often as you can from April through December. Everything for the meal is provided, but we need your help to make it, serve it, and clean up after the meal. This is an Ideal opportunity for family or small group of six people, although individuals are welcome too. Verbal orientation must be made with Joan Stark, 610-867-4681.
