Liberty up to No. 3 in the state 4A boys basketball rankings

Liberty has a tough week ahead in boys basketball, playing at Emmaus Tuesday night, at Nazareth on Friday and Pocono Mountain West on Sunday at Parkland in the marquee matchup of The Hoop Group Lehigh Valley Showcase.

At least for now, the once-beaten Hurricanes, a state semifinalist last March, are No. 3 in the state in 4A. They moved up one spot from the last poll.

Allen, a two-time loser to Liberty by a total of two points, is still ranked fifth.
