Northampton County Special Olympics hosting annual yard sale, car cruise-in

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

The Northampton County Special Olympics will host their annual yard sale and car cruise-in event Saturday.

More than 60 participants are expected to have spaces at the yard sale, which will run from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Colonial Academy, 1353 Jacobsburg Road in Bushkill Township.

The event will be held rain or shine, but will be moved indoors in the case of inclement weather, according to the Northampton County Special Olympics. Volunteers are still needed.

Spaces are still available for the yard sale and can be purchased for $10 each. Any unwanted leftover items will be donated to a local charity after the sale.

The car cruise-in will feature vehicles of various makes and models. People who wish to display their vehicles may do so for a $10 donation per vehicle, accepted at the entrance.

The event will include food stands, DJ entertainment and hourly door prizes. For more information, call Amy Pidgeon at 610-863-5550 about the yard sale, or Mike Truszkowski at 570-709-3439 about the car cruise-in.
