Upper Nazareth yard waste facility opens additional days for cleanup efforts

In an effort to aid residents in their cleanup efforts following impact from Hurricane Irene, Upper Nazareth Township Supervisors have approved opening the municipality’s yard waste facility on additional days.

The facility, located on Friedenstahl Avenue will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

Board Vice Chairman Scott Sylvainus said this is in addition to the normal scheduled day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday. Additionally, the facility will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, which had initially been scheduled to be closed for the Labor Day holiday.

“We all hope these additional hours assist our residents with their cleanup efforts,” Sylvainus said.
