Patriot League basketball on CBS Sports Network

FROM THE MORNING CALL

It’s a good thing Brett Reed is among college basketball’s best dressed coaches.

He and his Lehigh men’s team will be televised four times by CBS Sports Network, according the schedule released by the network and the Patriot League, most of any team.

CBS Sports Network will show 14 men’s games and three women’s contests in 2012, including both championship games.

Lafayette men, who have reached the last two league title games, will be shown twice, including the Jan. 22 home date with rival Lehigh.

Coach Fran O’Hanlon’s Leopards also will be on TV on Jan. 19 at Holy Cross, the site of what started Lafayette’s improbable playoff run.

Lehigh’s other dates: Jan. 26 against visiting Navy, Feb. 9 at American and Feb. 16 at defending league champion Bucknell.

There are two flex games Feb. 18 and Feb. 25, that will be decided no later than 10 days before each contest.

The two Army-Navy women’s games will be shown Jan. 14 and Feb. 11.

CBS Sports Network will air Patriot League men and women’s basketball for the third consecutive season. The network will also provide full coverage of the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse tournament for the third consecutive year, with a minimum of four regular-season games also televised. CBS Sports Network is televising a pair of Patriot League football games in 2011, with the Lehigh at Colgate contest set for broadcast on Oct. 29.

The expanded partnership with CBS Sports Network provides the most far-reaching television contract in Patriot League history. All televised men's basketball and football games will be shown in high definition. The Patriot League enters into its ninth consecutive year in partnership with CBS Sports Network.
