Raid of Bath man's home nets dozens of oxycodone pills, police report

A 41-year-old Bath man was sent to Northampton County Prison today after police, acting on a search warrant, seized 72 oxycodone pills from the man's home, according to a police report.

At 6:05 this morning, officers with the Colonial Regional Police Department served the warrant at the home of Chaerkahn Jose Velasquez in the 500 block of Pine Street, records say. The officers seized 72 oxycodone pills with a street value of $1,800 along with a scale, packaging material and $259 in cash.

Colonial Regional, in conjunction with the Northampton County Drug Task Force, previously conducted an undercover drug buy of oxycodone at Velasquez's residence, police said.

Velasquez is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail with a 10 percent option.

Velasquez was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to deliver, delivery of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
