Time for today’s digest of sports media news items…

Real Sports Debuts New Season Tomorrow Night- The 2012 debut of Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel premieres tomorrow night at 10:00p.m. ET/PT on HBO. The program will inclue a look at the largely unknown practice of NFL players being administered the controversial pain drug Toradol, a profile of the NBA Van Gundy brothers, the unorthadozx philosphy of a high school football team in Arkansas, and and update on former Raiders center Barrett Robbins.

First Two Episodes of MLB Network’s Baseball IQ Premiers Tomorrow Night- The first two espisodes in the MLB Network’s game show series Baseball IQ will premier tomorrow night at 9:00p.m. ET. The first episode will pit contestans representing the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies. The second episode (9:30p.m. ET) will pair contestants from the Baltimore Orioles and the Tampa Bay Rays. Matt Vasgersian will serve as host as the teams test their trivia knowledge to earn up to $45,000 in cash for local charities.
