Solid Ratings For TNT Thursday NBA Double Header- Last night’s NBA double header on TNT, featuring the Knicks/Heat and Lakers/Thunder gave the network an overnight rating of 3.4. Knicks/Heat registered a 4.0 rating while Lakers/Thunder came in at 2.8. Locally the Knicks/Heat had a rating of 9.4 in New York and a 15.3 in Miami. Los Angeles had a local 7.5 rating while Oklahoma City came in at 14.5.

Hornets/Bulls NBA TV’s Fan Night Presentation- The fans have seledted the New Orleans Hornets at the Chicago Bulls as this Tuesday’s Fan Night game on NBA TV. Tip-off is at 8:00p.m. ET. Here are the match-ups up for vote by fans for March 6th; Orlando Magic @ Charlotte Bobcats, Atlanta Hawks @ Indiana Pacers, Houston Rockets @ Boston Celtics, New Jersey Nets @ Miami Heat or New York Knicks @ Dallas Mavericks.

Hockey Day In America Has Strong Ratings- Last weekend’s Hockey Day in America on NBC Sports gave the network some strong ratings numbers. The three game regional package gave NBC a rating of 1.3, up 30 percent compared to last year’s regional coverage (1.0/3), and tied with Jan. 14, 2006 (three-game regional on NBC) as the best rating for NHL regular-season game coverage in eight years, excluding Winter Classics. The audience averaged 1.94 million viwers, also the most on NBC in six years.

Ballack Joins ESPN’s Euro 2012 Coverage- Former German National Team Captain Michael Ballack has been hired by ESPN to join its UEFA Euro 2012 coverage. Ballack will join ESPN’s Steve McManaman and Alexi Lalas as the three week tournament’s lead English-language studio analysts from the ESPN studios. Beginning Friday, June 8 through Sunday, July 1, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes will combine to present more than 200 hours of live coverage of the UEFA Euro 2012.

Second Season of Feherty Premieres Monday- The second season of the Golf Channel’s series Feherty, starring David Feherty, will debut this Monday at 10:00p.m. ET. The guest for the debut episode will be golfer Sergio Garcia. Hall of Fame Basketball star Bill Russell will join Feherty on March 5th while famed golf coach Butch Harmon will be on the show March 12th.
