Nazareth Area High School standout pitcher Karl Keglovits suffers broken finger

http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/05/nazareth_standout_pitcher_karl.html FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES Standout Nazareth Area High School pitcher/first baseman Karl Keglovits suffered a broken finger during Tuesday's District 11 Class AAAA quarterfinal round playoff game against Emmaus, coach Jon Lock confirmed today. Keglovits, who started on the mound, was struck on the index finger of his pitching hand on a come-backer by Emmaus leadoff hitter Vinny Romano. Keglovits, a North Carolina State recruit and two-time Express-Times All-Area first team selection, was replaced on the mound by Dan Shepherd. Nazareth went on to win 2-1 on Anthony Gaetaniello's RBI double in the last of the seventh. Lock said it was doubtful Keglovits would play again this season. "It's a bummer for us," Lock said, "but we've overcome setbacks before and hopefully we'll be able to do it again." Nazareth plays either Parkland, Pocono Mountain East or Bangor in the district semifinals Friday.
