http://sportsmediajournal.com/ Solid Ratings for MNF- ESPN reported today that the household coverage rating for last night’s controversial Monday Night Football game between the Packers and Seahawks came in at 12.0 with an audience of 16.2 million viewers. The rating was below last year’s week three game between the Cowboys and Redskins which scored a 12.3 number. Because of the controversial ending, the post game edition of SportsCenter had a rating of 5.2 and an audience of 6.4 million viewers, making it the most-watched (in terms of viewers) edition of SportsCenter ever (going back to January of 1990). NBC Continues to See Huge Viewership Numbers for Sunday Night Football- NBC Sports reports today that an average of 21.3 million people tuned in to watch the Patriots and Ravens on Sunday Night Football. The rating for the game averaged a 12.9. The viewership and rating were up four and six percent, respectively over last year’s week three game between the Steelers and Colts. It’s also the first time in seven years that the first four games on NBC averaged 21 million viewers. Over Six Million Watched Notre Dame/ Michigan on NBC- NBC also reported today that an average of 6.4 million viewers tuned in to Saturday night’s college match-up between Notre Dame and Michigan. The viewership made the game the most watched primetime Irish telecast on the network and the most-watched Notre Dame telecast in over two years. Through two games NBC is averaging 4.5 million viewers for Notre Dame games, up 28% from 2011. NFL Replays on NFL Network- The NFL Network (NFLN) will replay three contests from week three beginning tonight. At 8:00p.m. ET NFLN will re-broadcast the Lions at the Titans. The Steelers at Raiders will re-air at 9:30p.m. tonight with the Patriots/Ravens set for tomorrow at 9:00p.m. ET. NFLN’s next edition of Sound FX will air tomorrow at 10:30p.m. ET featuring Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall, St. Louis Rams defensive end Robert Quinn, Arizona Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Devone Bess. NFL Turning Point Tomorrow on NBCSN- The next edition of NFL Turning Point on the NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) will look back at the key plays from last week’s Bengals/Redskins, Patriots/Ravens, and Eagles/Cardinals match-ups. Dan Patrick hosts with Rodney Harrison and Tony Dungy beginning tomorrow night at 10:00p.m. ET. SiriusXM Radio’s Coverage of the Ryder Cup- SiriusXM Radio will be providing live hole-by-hole coverage of this week’s Ryder Cup from Medinah Country Club. Coverage on channel 93 on XM and channel 208 on Sirius Premier will begin Friday, September 28, and Saturday, September 29, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm/conclusion ET and Sunday, September 30, from 12:00 to 6:00 pm/conclusion ET. Earl Forcey and Matt Adams will host the broadcast alongside analyst John Maginnes. Mark Carnevale, Dennis Paulson, Fred Albers and Doug Bell will serve as roving commentators, providing live reports from around the course. Spencer Hall Named Editorial Director at SB Nation- SB Nation, which recently made a number of cosmetic changes to its blog network, has announced the appointment of Spencer Hall as Editorial Director.
