FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

Parkland High School girls basketball coach Wes Spence was delighted when a Nazareth starter was called for her second foul early in the second quarter and had to be replaced.
He figured this would be a chance to break the game open, which it was, for the Blue Eagles.
Senior forward Stephanie Madara came off the bench to score all seven of her points in a game-deciding second quarter and Nazareth held on late to post a 49-41 victory tonight in the District 11 Class AAAA semifinals at J. Milo Stewards gymnasium.
"Steph was just unbelievable in that second quarter," Nazareth coach Rich Bickert said. "It's been that kind of year where somebody steps up every game. Steph got her chance and shined."
