With bad weather coming, and expected to be worse in the higher elevations on Monday, the officials who run the Perryman-Keglovits Foundation All-Star Games, decided to postpone for Monday night and move the games to Tuesday at the same times -- 6 p.m. for the girls and 7:30 for the boys. The showcase event for Monroe County senior basketball players is set to be held at East Stroudsburg University's Koehler Field House.
Proceeds benefit the Jimmy V Foundation and the Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center.
The event honors the memory of two Monroe Couty legends, Arthur Perryman and and Al Keglovits. Perryman, a 1,700-point scorer who led East Stroudsburg to the 1994 District 11 title, died in 1995 at age 19.
Keglovits, who lost his own battle with cancer in 2001, was a teacher and basketball coach at East Stroudsburg South and an assistant basketball coach at King's College and Lehigh University.
