Golf Channel Celebrates Most- Watched May in History-  The Golf Channel registered 16.9 unique viewers in May.  The daily average of 133,000 viewers is 19% over 2012, making it the most-watched May in the history of the network.  The network also reported it is expected to show record numbers for May as well on Golfchannel.com.
ESPN Sees Strong Viewership to Start WNBA Season- The Memorial Day doubleheader of the WNBA gave ESPN an average rating of 0.3 and an average audience of 366,000 viewers.  The nightcap,  Chicago at Phoenix on ESPN2, was the most- watched WNBA game since July of 2004.
Pro Football Talk to Unveil Each NFL Club’s Mount Rushmore-  Mike Florio and Pro Football Talk on the NBC Sports Network will produce a special series  “Faces of the Franchise; Who’s on Your Team’s Mount Rushmore?” — to determine the four most influential people in the history of each NFL team.  The special premieres this Monday at 5:00p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.
NASCAR Sprint Cup this Weekend on Fox- Fox Sports wraps-up its coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sunday afternoon from Dover, DE.  Coverage begins at 12:30p.m. ET with pre-race action hosted by Chris Myers with Darrell and Michael Waltrip.  When the race begins Mike Joy calls the action alongside analysts Darrell Waltrip and Larry McReynolds while Steve Byrnes, Krista Voda and Matt Yocum patrol the pits for reports on teams and pit stops. FOX Sports’ Jeff Hammond serves as the network’s roving analyst.
Jemele Hill To Become Co-Host of Number Never Lie-  ESPN has announced that Jemele Hill will serve as co-host of the afternoon program Numbers Never Lie with Michael Smith.  Hill will begin her new role next month.
Fox Sports Tabs Dallman as Fox Sports 1 News Director-  Fox Sports announced today that it has promoted Bill Dallman, a longtime executive at multiple FOX owned-and-operated news stations, hto serve as Vice President/News Director for FOX Sports 1.  Dallman will begin in his role on July 1st and will work with affiliates and Fox Sports Regional networks in managing the news-gathering operation and overseeing the editorial format of Fox Sports Live when it launches on August 17th.
CBS’s Coverage of The Memorial-  CBS Sports continues its coverage of the PGA Tour this weekend with the telecast of The Memorial Tournament from Dublin, OH.  Coverage on Saturday begins at 3:00p.m. ET while on Sunday action gets underway at 2:30p.m. ET.  Jim Nantz,and Sir Nick Faldo call the action from the 18th tower  while Ian Baker-Finch calls the action at the 17th hole and Gary McCord at the 16th hole.  David Feherty and Matt Gogel serve as on-course reporters.
